Meet Dr. Hughes
When her sister was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1998, Dr. Hughes dedicated her medical career to the purposeful and intentional treatment of neurological disorders. Practicing for over 25 years in academic and health care system settings, Dr. Hughes founded her private practice, Premier Neurology in 2015. Premier Neurology’s comprehensive approach to treatment is based on the goal of increasing quality of life for every individual affected by a neurological disorder. Living well with neurological diseases requires the patient-centered approach that Dr. Hughes has developed over her years of practice, and continues to hone in her private practice at Premier Neurology. Education has been a cornerstone of her commitment to patient care. An experienced educator, she has taught extensively in multiple arenas including medical conferences, medical schools and community events. In the face of the complexity of the field of neurology, she has been actively involved in clinical research for over 20 years.
Loren Cragle, PA
Loren Cragle is originally from Pennsylvania but has lived in multiple places, including Ohio, Texas and now, South Carolina. She earned her Bachelor's degree of Exercise Science from Pennsylvania State University, and then completed her Physician Assistant degree at MUSC. She is certified as a multiple sclerosis specialist through the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers. She has worked at Premier Neurology since 2016 and is very passionate about the practice and the type of care we provide. She has two young boys and enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the outdoors on their farm.
Porshia Turner, NP
Porshia Turner is a Greenville Native. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at The University of South Carolina. She then worked as an Emergency Room nurse for 8 years before deciding to further her career. She graduated from Clemson University with her MS degree and is board certified through AANP as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is excited to be part of the Premier family and provide the best possible care to her patients. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her family and dogs. She also enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors.
